Biography

Born in Barcelona in 1974,

He holds an Engineering Degree from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and a Higher Degree in Design from the School of Architecture in Barcelona. Later on, interested in how companies work, he completed a Master’s in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Pompeu Fabra University.

After spending more than four years in the automotive industry, he moved into product design at Tactica studio with Oriol Guimerà. Their strong connection led them to create their own design studio, guimeràicinca.

Joan Cinca continues his work through his studio laproduqtora, offering product design and technical development support to help bring new products to market. In 2017, laproduqtora partnered with EngiCom to add design and product strategy to its engineering services.
During this period, he also collaborated with Dennis Park on several projects.

Alongside his professional activity, he has taught at schools such as Elisava and Istituto Europeo di Design.

He currently works with international companies, supporting them in creativity and design management. His work has been shown at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, Frankfurt Light & Building, Cologne Orgatec, Tokyo Design Week, the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen, and Maison & Objet in Paris.
